There’s a day to celebrate everything and today happens to be peanut butter and jelly’s day.  So go ahead, make a sandwich!

When I saw that today was National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day it got me thinking about where the idea of a pb & j sandwich came from.  According to an Epoch Times article, the sandwich was invented by World War II soldiers.  Peanut butter, jelly and bread made their ration lists and once the war was over and soldiers returned home, sales were astronomical for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
