Today is My Last Day With 98.1 Minnesota’s New Country

It is bittersweet yet exciting that I announce that today is my last day with  98.1 Minnesota's New Country.

Almost five years ago I got the wonderful opportunity to do an internship here.  I admit I was pretty starstruck.  I mean it's radio and these were radio stars!  It was just so cool and so exciting!

I learned so much from so many people that worked here and then my hard work paid off when I got the chance to go from being 'Intern Katie' to 'Producer Katie' on the morning show.  I remember the day they gave me the reins on the Nashville News, you'd have thought I won the lottery!

Yet again hard work paid off when I got the offer to do middays.  My dream had finally come true, I was going to get to do something I loved everyday.  Man, even on the bad days I had fun.

So with all this fun and learning, you might be wondering why I'm leaving.  The answer is only you can be in charge of your life and there's a whole world of opportunity out there just waiting to be seized.  Life is so short and I feel like I need to explore everything it has to offer.

I want to thank you for listening, checking out my blog and making my job awesome!  I've loved entertaining you and I hope that's exactly what I've done.  I hope that I've made you shake your head, laugh, think or feel something.  I think we've connected and it's my hope you feel the same.

I'm not sure what the next adventure is yet but I do know it's going to be a crazy, exciting ride!
