If you are hoping to see Toby Keith tonight on ABC as part of the CMA Awards Show, you are out of luck.  Toby said that he has better things to do tonight.

Keith made it clear that he has no intention of making an appearance at the show, telling Country Weekly, “Hell no, I ain’t showing up. I gotta go get a root canal that day, or something fun.”

Keith has done a couple of songs over the years with Willie Nelson, who will be honored tonight as a legend in the industry.  Nelson has been a part of the country music scene for over 50 years. He originally started as a songwriter, writing hit songs for the likes of Roy Orbison, Faron Young, among others.

Nelson has released over 100 albums during his long career and over 40 of these have been in the top ten on the U.S. Country Album charts.

Also a part of the show will be Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.  In addition, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton will make appearances.  The show will be co-hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
