The Minnesota Timberwolves (10-40) hung tough all night with the number-two team in the West; the Memphis Grizzlies (37-13) tonight at the Target Center, ending Memphis' 8-game winning streak with a 90-89 Minnesota win. Memphis had won 17 of the last 20 games against the Wolves. It marks Minnesota's first 2-game win streak of the season.

Leading the scoring for Minnesota was rookie Andrew Wiggins with 18 points. Thad Young lead the Wolves in rebounding with 8. Ricky Rubio had 5 assists, and Nikola Kekovic had one block.
