The Minnesota Timberwolves (25-37) lost to the San Antonio Spurs (48-13) 97-90 in overtime last night in Texas. The Wolves led by as many as as 16 in the second quarter before San Antonio eventually battled back for the OT win.

With the win, the Spurs have secured their 20th straight playoff appearance.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Timberwolves.  Andrew Wiggins scored 17. Gorgui Dieng added 13. Ricky Rubio had a triple-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Minnesota is 5-29 when scoring less than 100 points this season. The Wolves remain three games behind the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference who currently own the eighth and final playoff spot.

Next up for the Timberwolves, they'll host the Portland Trailblazers Monday night at the Target Center.
