There’s Nothing Better Than the Smell of a Minnesota Lake

Have you ever noticed when you're just kicking back relaxing on the lake or by the lake, there's just this certain fresh smell?  It's my favorite!

A new survey revealed the top ten smells we love and the ones we don't.    There's a lot of good ones out there for and it got me thinking about the smells that I love.

When I was a kid, I thought gasoline smelled awesome but as an adult, that seems a little strange.  Now I'm all about the smell of the lake.  I don't know if it's because when I'm out there my other senses are totally satisfied and so therefore I've conjured up some smell in my mind or if it's because there legitimately is an awesome smell.  Either way it rocks!

On the flip side, when you talk about worst smells there's one that comes to mind.  When I was in college I worked in a bank inside a Walmart.  We'd take our garbage out over by the dairy section and I dreaded it because the smell was terrible.  I can't even describe it but to this day, I get a whiff and it makes me want to gag.  Gross!
