Well...It happens...Cattle get out and wander around. Apparently, that's what happened on Sunday in Alexandria. The good news is, the owners have been found.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU SEE CATTLE OUTSIDE OF A FENCE?

If you don't have the owners phone number, you should call the police and let them know the location of the animal or animals.

Do not get out of your vehicle. It's best for you to let the owners know rather than trying to approach or get the cattle out of the road on your own. They usually know their owners; and you might startle them.

If you want to stay nearby, and make sure that no one hits the cattle; park off to the side of the road, and turn your flashers on to alert traffic of a possible hazard.
