    St. Cloud State vs University of Sioux Falls

    It's the home opener for the St. Cloud State University Huskies tonight (Thursday) against the University of Sioux Falls. The Huskies are looking at making it nine straight winning seasons after coming off a 6-5 season last year.  The team will be lead by senior Quarterback and Cold Spring Native Nate Meyer. Kick off starts at 6:00 p.m. at Husky Stadium. Tickets are $15 at the gate.

    Trace Adkins

    Mystic Lake

    Country Music Star Trace Adkins will be in Minnesota this weekend.  The Grand Ole Opry member has roared back into 2016 with his first two singles “Jesus and Jones,” and “Lit.”  Adkins has sold over 10 million albums debuting hits like “You're Gonna Miss This,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Songs About Me,” and “Every Light In The House.” Tickets for the show range from $50-$60. He takes the stage Sunday in the Mystic Showroom starting at 8:00 p.m.

    Quarry Park and Nature Preserve

    Waite Park

    Enjoy one of the St. Cloud areas most beautiful outdoor recreation spots, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve. It is the largest in the Stearns County Parks system at over 600 acres.  The park has much to offer including scenic woodlands, open prairie, plant life and several swimming quarries. The park is open from 8:00 AM to one-half hour after sunset. Permits for the park run at $5.

    Pioneer Place

    Enjoy the sounds of an acoustic guitar and great songwriting at Pioneer Place Saturday night. Anthony Perry is a dynamic and passionate musician who tells stories of love, betrayal, and finding ones’ self on the open highways that connect his life in Minnesota with his past set in Eastern Montana. His music has been compared to Alternative Rock to American Folk. The show is free to attend and starts at 9:00 p.m.

    The Minnesota State Fair

    St. Paul

    The Great Minnesota Get-Together continues this week with more to see. From food, music, rides, or just people watching there is an unless amount of things to do. Some of the performances include Alabama, and Weezer. There will be 32 new foods to check out this year including SPAM Sushi, Deep Fried Nachos, and Cracker Jack Caramel Sundaes. General entry tickets are $13 for Adults, $11 for senior citizens and kids 12 and under, and free for kids 5 and under. Gates open at 6:00 a.m. to Midnight until Monday.
