This weekend we are looking at highs in the 90's and sunny skies, and if you plan to spend a lot of time outside you could be at risk for a heat stroke. Here are common symptoms of heat stroke according to WedMD:

  • Throbbing headache
  • Dizziness
  • Not sweating, despite the high heat
  • Hot, dry skin

There are some ways you can avoid the threat of a heat stroke. Here is what the Mayo Clinic recommends:

  • Wear loose fitting breathable clothing
  • Put on sunscreen to avoid sun burn
  • Drink plenty of fluids. Water is the best.
  • Take it easy. Especially during the hottest part of the day

If you think someone is having a heat stroke here is how to treat it:

  • Remove unnecessary clothing
