I headed down to Mystic Lake on Sunday to see Charlie Daniels rip up the stage with his arsenal of stringed instruments.  Here's what went down.

I have been to many venues and I must say there is not a bad seat in The Mystic Lake Showroom.  The sound quality also works in your favor as you can understand the words.

The opening band was 32 below.  They did a great job getting the crowd going with their rocking billy-country sound.  What is rocking billy-country?  I am not sure, I think I just made that word up.

Then the 75 year old Charlie Daniels took the stage.  I have seen him in concert a few times and still amazed at the flawless show he puts on.  He plays all his popular songs, but my favorite thing about his band is that they just jam out.  No words,  just slaying of their instruments.  True talent.

Charlie Daniels is about as American as you can get.  He has been overseas to entertain the troops tons of times and is not a fan of anybody trying to put the troops in harms way.  Just check out this picture I took of the bands drum set.  Did you make out the picture of Osama Bin Laden with x's over his eyes?

Charlie is an amazing American and a talented artist, can't wait till he makes his way back again.

If you ever see an artist that you like and they are playing at the Mystic Lake Casino.  Make sure you get tickets.  You will not be disappointed.

If you missed the interview that Ricky and I did with Charlie Daniels..Here it is.
