Last week I asked the question: "Where is the best place to celebrate Halloween in St. Cloud?" Thank you to everyone who gave suggestions! Here were a few responses:

  • The Benton Station Bar in Sauk Rapids
  • Host a party yourself! (Great idea!)
  • Go to Molitors Haunted Acres
  • Visit Harvest of Horror in St. Augusta

I actually did go to Harvest of Horror a couple weeks ago! And I have to say it was one of the best haunted attractions I have been to!

I took my sister and her boyfriend with me to Harvest of Horror and neither of them are really into scary or haunted attractions. Here is an overview of the night!

We started off the night with a hay ride through a corn field where characters would jump on and off the wagon at random, you never really knew what was going to happen next.

When you get off the wagon the next segment is a walk through the woods. I thought this part was the most terrifying. I hate being alone in the woods at night. Apparently so did my sister because she had a death grip on my hand the whole time.

After the woods you walk through a corn maze. That part was a little better than the woods lighting wise because you could actually kind of see where you were going.

Then came the "haunted house" portion of the attraction. You are greeted by a clown (thankfully not creepy, just overly friendly) and walk through a zig-zag series of doors and walls trying to find your way out!

The whole experience ends with a walk through a corn field but it isn't totally over! You never know what will pop out of the corn!

Overall I would give the Harvest of Horror a 10/10. I thought it was really well done and I would definitely go back and my sister and her boyfriend both agree! Its a great way to get in the Halloween spirit!

Harvest of Horror is in St. Augusta. Open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 7 PM - 11 PM.
