The Alan Jackson Concert Was Phenomenal
Friday night's Alan Jackson concert was everything I had hoped it would be and more! Jackson performed at the Grand Casino-Hinckley in front of a sold-out crowd. I'm a huge fan of his and I had been building the experience up in my head the week leading up to the show.
It was an absolutely beautiful night for an outdoor concert, and everyone seemed to be out to "have a good time"--pun intended.
If you're an American Idol fan, then you might remember Alan Jackson's opening act Lauren Alaina. She was on the singing competition show when she was 15 years old. She's 21 now and has a CD of her own out! She had a great stage presence, and shared some of her original songs while still covering some familiar hits from other artists like Little Big Town's "Girl Crush."
And then, Alan Jackson took the stage and performed all of his hits. The really cool thing about the concert was that he had music videos for all of his hit songs playing on a giant screen behind him throughout the entire show. He shared personal stories about each hit song and how the song came to be. He seemed extremely down to Earth and grounded--like a small town country boy.
If you ever get the opportunity to go to an Alan Jackson concert, I highly recommend it--you won't be disappointed!
