I love Thanksgiving--it's definitely in my top five as far as holiday's with food goes. However, it can definitely be done wrong...and when that happens just be thankful there's take-out.

What are some of the worst side dishes you've ever had on Thanksgiving? Here are just a few of mine.

1. Gravy that tasted like salty water. Gravy is definitely an art form on Thanksgiving--especially for people that smother their food in it! Sometimes, it even gets on the pie and that's OK with me as long as it's good gravy. (No grandma, I wasn't talking about yours.)

2. I am NOT a fan of pie that has burnt crust. No amount of whipped cream can fix it. While we're on the pie topic...blueberry is gross. Stick with pumpkin--or if you're a real go-getter buy french silk :)

3. Cranberry out of a can. I've never been able to get behind that one. I don't like the look of the can when it comes out of it. It looks like a fat worm.

4. Weird desserts. I have an aunt who is infamous for her "Coke Jello." It had fruit that was encased inside of a Coke flavored Jello. It sounds like it could be good, but trust me--it wasn't. I hope she doesn't see this.

My Thanksgiving horror stories are nothing compared to some of the stories from the calls I've been getting on air. Dawn from Holdingford called to say that her sister-in-law made everyone frozen lasagna and it was horrible.

What are some of your Thanksgiving horror stories?
