This might be one of the most ridiculous stories I've ever heard.

I spent a lot of time in trouble when I was a kid.  Not because I did bad things but because I didn't always watch my mouth and I wasn't respectful to my parents.  Like any kid, I thought my parents were being totally unfair and I'd complain about them to my friends. That's as far as it went.

As I got (and continue to get) older I realize what a tough job my mom and dad had. Looking back, I know they did what they thought was best.  I watch how some kids act today and I know I wouldn't have gotten away with that kind of behavior.

As I read this story on an 18 year old girl in New Jersey, I couldn't help but shake my head. She claims her parents kicked her out of the house just a few days before her 18th birthday and she's suing them.   She wants child support and for her parents to pay for her high school and college tuition.  She is still awaiting a hearing on the college tuition, a judge denied her request for child support and payment of high school tuition.

Her parents claim that she moved out voluntarily because she didn't want to abide by household rules like chores and being home by curfew.

I think this girl should have to take care of herself like other young adults who are on their own.

What do you think? Should her parents be footing the bill for her?
