ST. CLOUD – This will be an especially happy Thanksgiving for 70 Minnesota National Guard soldiers and their families.

WJON was at the Aviation Facility when they returned home to St. Cloud today (Wednesday).

There was very little ceremony, just a lot of hugs, tears, and celebrating as the soldiers walked off the airplane and into the arms of their friends and family.  The Corbine’s from the Twin Cities are one of the families that were reunited.

While holding his young daughter, Austin Corbine says it’s a great feeling to be home.

And Angela says they’ll have a special Thanksgiving celebration.

The Soldiers are from the St. Cloud-based Company B, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment.  They spent the past year flying personnel and cargo out of Iraq into Kuwait, in support of the draw down in Iraq.
