It was a surprisingly tough commute to work and school this (Friday) morning here in central Minnesota. A snow burst dropped just a enough precipitation to make for very slick roads. The Minnesota State Patrol says they responded to 34 crashes in the St. Cloud region.
Happy Thanksgiving! Forecasters are expecting the best chance of snow today to fall across Southeastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, where 1 to 3 inches are possible. Roads could be slick in that direction this afternoon and evening. Here's the latest:
Snow remains on track to move across Iowa, southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois this afternoon into early Saturday. Far southern Minnesota will be on the northern fringe, but will still pick up 1 to 4 inches this afternoon and evening.
