Severe Weather Awareness Week continues Tuesday to help highlight best practices in the upcoming spring and summer weather seasons.

A strong thunderstorm rumbled through central Minnesota early Sunday morning knocking down trees and power lines. Stearns County Emergency Management Director Erin Hausauer says the most significant damage to trees was in the Eden Valley area.

On top of giving us winter 70's and start of spring 30's, we now get dumped with a ton of hail this afternoon. We could now get some rumbles overnight around the St. Cloud area.

Holy-moly, it's getting scary out there! With the warm weather comes severe weather season. Thunderstorms, lightning, high winds and tornadoes are all things we shouldn't take lightly. Here are a few safety tips from The National Weather Service that could just save your life!

We've got THUNDERSTORMS in the forecast today and tomorrow. It's just the beginning of March and we're already getting May-like weather! I for one, love thunder storms for a variety of reasons.
