A number of items will be on the auction block tomorrow (Saturday) in Waite Park. Stearns County is holding another seized and surplus auction at 9:30 a.m. at the County Highway Department on 28th Avenue in Waite Park.
A St. Joseph woman was severely hurt when she was attacked by two dogs on Monday afternoon. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 61-year-old Julie Lingl of St. Joseph was walking her small dog on the shoulder of the road, past a home.
Two bodies were pulled from the Mississippi River earlier this (Sunday) afternoon near the Granite City Crossing Bridge - also known as the Highway 23 or Division Street bridge. Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton says police got a call around 12:30 p.m. about a possible person on the ice.
Stearns County is close to opening another swimming quarry. Quarry 11 at the Stearns County Quarry Park & Nature Preserve will provide more gradual slopes, swimming platform, bathrooms and picnic shelter for families.
