Things didn't go as well for the Minnesota Gophers (6-2, 3-1), upset on the road by Illinois (4-4, 1-3) 28-24. St. Cloud State (3-5, 3-5) lost on the road at Northern State (5-3, 5-3) 45-23 in Aberdeen, SD.

It's a full schedule for area college football teams today, with St. John's hosting Carlton College for Family Day following a big win last week at Gustavus. The Gophers travel to Illinois in an attempt to go 4-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since 1967. SCSU is at Northern State University in another NSIC matchup.
