Yesterday I put a three poll questions out there asking about basic housewarming party etiquette. My boyfriend and I are divided on three questions. I was blown away by the number of responses the survey got. Here are the results...

Question 1: House guests are expecting my party to have...

A. Light snacks and hors d'oeuvres (83%)
B. A full lunch/dinner buffet (13%)
C. Neither (5%)

Question 2: The length of the party should be...

A. 1-6 p.m. (39%)
B. Less than 5 hours (31%)
C. 1-9 p.m. (30%)

Question 3: You should plan enough tables and chairs for...

A. Enough for at least half of the guests you invited to sit down (knowing they will be coming and going all night) (57%)
B. Just a few tables and chairs for less than half of your guests (29%)
C. Every guest to be able to sit down (10%)
D. No tables and chairs (3%)
E. Other (2%)

It looks like the majority of people agree with my boyfriend on two of the three questions. (Although, the second question is pretty divided, I'll still give it to him.) I was not expecting that response at all! It looks like I've got a few last minute changes to make.
