If I had my choice, I wouldn't set foot outside when it gets below zero.  There's just no reason to.

So if you can't get me outside my house, it's highly unlikely I will go near any body of water in subzero temperatures.  However, there's some folks who love the cold and will brave the icy cold waters of Lake Superior to go surfing.  It's not for me, but I give these surfers a lot of credit.

They hit the waves of Lake Superior on December 29, 2013 where the wind chill factor made temperatures feel between -30F and -50F.  Yikes, just watching this makes me cold but it is really amazing!

These guys are awesome surfers so maybe when it gets a little warmer I will hit them up for some surfing lessons!
