On Sunday May 15th at 11 am, join me for the Sunday Morning Country Classic Spotlight. This Sunday,  Wynonna gets the spotlight.

We get started at 9 am with the Country Classic Show at 98.1 Minnesota's New Country, online and on your mobile device.

Wynonna first rose to fame in the mother-daughter country duo with her mother, Naomi, known as The Judds. The Judds were very successful -- the duo released seven albums and charted 26 singles, of which 14 were number one hits.

After the Judds disbanded in 1991, Wynonna began a solo career.  She has released eight studio albums, a live album and a holiday album.  She also charted 20 singles, "She is His Only Need," "I Saw the Light" and "No One Else on Earth" all topping the country chart at number one.

In 1999, Wynonna reunited with her mother Naomi for a tour beginning on New Year's Eve.

Wynonna's half sister, Ashley Judd, is an accomplished actress.

The good news -- country music star Wynonna Judd is coming to St. Cloud.  Judd and her band Big Noise will be performing at the Paramount Theatre in downtown St. Cloud Friday September 30th.  Wynonna will be part of the Autumn Moon Fundraiser.  This year's Autumn Moon theme is, 'A Night in Nashville."  Tickets are available at the Paramount Theatre Box Office.
