The Sunday Morning Country Classic Spotlight is a regular feature heard every Sunday at 11 am. And on September 24th, we’re featuring Trisha Yearwood.

Patricia Lynn Yearwood was born September 19, 1964 in Monticello, Georgia.  Yearwood has become a singer, author, actress and chef.  She rose to fame in 1991 with her debut single, “She’s in Love with the Boy,” which became her first number one single.  She has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and has won three Grammy Awards and three Country Music Association Awards.

She has released three very successful cookbooks since April 2012, Yearwood has hosted a show on the Food Network titled “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen” which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Program.  In 1997, Yearwood played a recurring role on the CBS drama “Jag” and other television works.  On a personal note, Trisha has been married three times.  She married her first husband, musician Chris Latham in 1987, they divorced in 1991.  In May of

On a personal note, Trisha has been married three times.  She married her first husband, musician Chris Latham in 1987, they divorced in 1991.  In May of 1994, she married Robert Reynolds with country music group ‘The Mavericks,’ divorcing in 1999.  Yearwood remarried on December 10, 2005 to country music superstar Garth Brooks.
