Rosanne Cash, the daughter of country music icon Johnny Cash, is a singer, song writer and author.  Rosanne faced the challenge of forming an artistic identity in the shadow of her larger than life father.  She did it with grace and success.

Eleven number one singles since 1991, she has released five albums and wrote two books.  She won a Grammy in 1985 for, "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me" and has received nine other Grammy nominations.

Cash was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1955.  Cash's parents divorced while she was still a young girl.  Her mother, Vivian Liberto, raised her in southern California.  She married country singer Rodney Crowell in 1979 and divorced in 1992.  Cash married her second husband John Leventhal in 1995, they have one son named Jacob.  Rosanne has three daughters with Rodney Crowell.  Rosanne lives with her husband, son and youngest daughter Chelsea in Manhattan.

In November, 2004 she was admitted to the hospital for brain surgery.  She suffered from Chiari Malformation type 1, but made a full recovery.
