The musical style that took Razzy Bailey to the top of the charts in the early 1980’s reflected what he heard while growing up on the family farm in Alabama. Bailey was born in Five Points, Alabama, February 14, 1939.

Razzy’s first hit was “What Time Do You Have to be Back in Heaven?” It was on the charts for over four months. Bailey charted seven number one singles on Billboards Country Charts.

Bailey had his greatest success from 1980 to July 1981 with five number one hits. By the mid 80’s, Bailey’s hit making days were over.  n 1993 he released an album called “Fragile, Handle With Care,” it was marred by the suicide of Bailey’s wife, Sandra. He has been active from 1966 till the present. He is now 74 years old.
