In my research of Bruce, I found him to be a multi-talented performer, a country hit recording artist, songwriter, actor and a singer on many radio commercials.  Born in Keiser, Arkansas December 29,

He was born in Keiser, Arkansas on December 29, 1940, and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.  He co-starred in the television series “Bret Maverick" with James Garner during the 1981-82 season.  Bruce wrote some of the greatest country songs in country music history, a very gifted songwriter.  He wrote “Texas When I Die” for Tanya Tucker, “Restless” for Crystal Gayle and “Mama’s don’t let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys” a smash hit for Waylon and Willie.  Let’s not forget about his top ten hit, “My First Taste of Texas.”  Bruce is alive and well, he turns 76 on December 29
