UNDATED -- The heavy snow on Saturday kept troopers with the Minnesota State Patrol, and other first responders, very busy throughout the day and night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says they responded to a total of 140 crashes on state highways through 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

There was one fatal crash, that was near Foley.  Seventeen of the crashes involved injuries, but none of those were serious.

There was an additional 178 spinouts or vehicles that went into the ditch.

The Minnesota State Patrol will update their crash totals from Saturday's snowstorm after 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
