I can't say I've ever thought about anything in Minnesota as being overly romantic.  I mean, let's be honest, it seems like 99% of the time we are layered and bundled up because it's freezing.  I don't see where one would find that romantic, but that's just me.

All joking aside, there are a lot of fun, couple friendly things to do around here even in the winter, which is probably why St. Paul is leading the race in the most romantic getaway in the country. I think, as a state, we are pretty sophisticated and the Twin Cities is a pretty happening place.  According to a WCCO article, the folks conducting the poll point out all the interesting things to do in St. Paul, including the arts scene and ice skating.
