Minnesota has the 11th lowest violent crime rate in the country, so relatively speaking we're a pretty safe state. The number crunchers at SafeWise analyzed the most recent FBI Crime Report -- and have determined that St. Joseph remains among the safest spots in the state.

  3. Shoreview
  4. White Bear Township
  5. Arden Hills
  6. Vadnais Heights
  7. Little Canada
  8. Corcoran
  9. Cold Spring/Richmond
  10. Orono

Other area cities to make Top-100 list include Big Lake (#21), Sartell (#61), Little Falls (#63), and Sauk Rapids (#94).

SafeWise only looked at Minnesota cities with a population of 5000 or more.
