St. Cloud’s Alise Post Takes Silver Medal At Rio Olympics

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud's own Alise Post has won a silver medal in the women's BMX Olympic Finals.

Final standings:
Gold - Mariana Pajon 34.093 (Columbia)
Silver - Alise Post 34.435 (USA)
Bronze - Stefany Hernandez 34.755 (Venezuela)

Post was one of eight finalists competing for medals.

Fellow American Brooke Crain also qualified for the finals.

Family, friends and community members have been cheering on Post at Marcus Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park.

Post is competing in her second Olympic games. It's her first medal.

Post is a 2009 graduate of St. Cloud Tech high school.
