ST. CLOUD -- A robbery happened near the campus of St. Cloud State University last (Saturday) night.

St. Cloud Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton says the incident happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 7th Street South.

A 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, both from St. Cloud, were walking down the street when two men confronted them and asked for their belongings. One of the men had a handgun and and the other had a stun-gun. The 19-year-old victim struggled with one of the suspects and the suspect did use his stun gun on the victim.

The 19-year-old man suffered minor injuries from the stun gun and the woman wasn't injured.

Police found the suspects with the weapons and victims belongings trying to cross 9th Avenue South at 5th Street.

Both 18-year-old Blake Dearmond of St. Cloud and 28-year-old Brandon Wilkes of Golden Valley were taken to Stearns County Jail where they are facing charges of 1st degree aggravated robbery. Wilkes also had a warrant out for his arrest for aggravated robbery.
