ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud is the latest Minnesota city to allow Sunday growler sales. The city council approved the revised liquor ordinance during their meeting this (Monday) evening.

The change comes after the Legislature changed the state law earlier this year, and left the decision up to local governments. It means breweries are allowed to sell beer in the 64 ounce containers from 8:00 a.m.  until 10:00 p.m.

No other off-sales are allowed in the state on Sundays.

Breweries will be charged a $50 license fee to be able to sell the growlers on Sunday.

One other change, bars and restaurants can now start serving alcohol at 8:00 a.m. on Sundays, instead of the previous 10:00 a.m. start time.
