ST. CLOUD - Over 35 homes and 20 builders will be showcased on the 2017 Central Minnesota Builders Association Tour of Homes.

The tour allows builders to show the newest trends in home building like geo-thermal heating and energy efficient appliances. Former CMBA President Craig Schoenberg says the event is important for builders since it allows people to see the homes first hand.

"Energy efficiency is big for people these days. Geo-thermal heating systems are becoming more common as well as energy star type appliances."

The CMBA Tour of Homes starts this weekend, and is open to everyone. Homes will be open on Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m.

If you miss this weekend the Tour Of Homes will also take place March 3rd through 5th.

You can pick up a map of the event at local Holiday Gas Stations.
