Jeff Edmonson, Meteorologist for KARE 11, shared a picture on Twitter of a map predicting potential snowfall for Northern Minnesota this Friday! Snow. In Minnesota. In September. Say it isn't so!

This isn't the earliest chance of snow the state has had. The earliest documented snow in Minnesota was .3 inches that fell on September 14th, 1964 in International Falls.

According to Weather.com, Central Minnesota can expect to see the first measurable snow of the season anytime in October or November. There is a map detailing when we might see it, and the line between October and November falls right in the middle of Minnesota. So don't worry about this weekend's snowfall prediction, it most likely won't be measurable!
