  • Ice Scraper/Snow Brush
  • Kitty Litter - Can't get traction on a slippery patch? Keep a bag of kitty litter in the trunk, sprinkle some by the tires when you're in a slick spot, magically unstuck! Yay for traction!
  • Emergency snacks
  • Lighter
  • Shovel
  • Case of water
  • Spray Bottle of De-Icer - 2 cups of rubbing alcohol, 1 cup of water. Keep it in a spray bottle and use it to get that pesky ice off your windshield in less than 5 seconds!
  • Extra hates, mittens, coats.

Driving around with a bunch of extra "junk in the trunk" seems like a hassle, but in Minnesota you just never know when you'll need it. And if and when that time does come, you'll be thankful that it's there!
