From the National Weather Service this afternoon: The wet period continues... A few low pressure systems and a nearly stationary front nearby will be the focus for numerous thunderstorm chances through Wednesday night. Lighter rainfall is possible again late week, and into the weekend. Total rainfall amounts through Thursday morning will exceed 2 inches in a broad area in central and southern Minnesota, and into parts of western Wisconsin. Isolated 3 to 4 inch totals will be possible in localized areas. This will depend on where thunderstorm complexes ultimately form. Severe weather is possible tonight, and into Wednesday.
