The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 9 AM this morning for the southern half of Minnesota, including St. Cloud, Willmar, Morris, and the Twin Cities. Stay tuned to 98 Country for possible severe weather warnings.

Strong winds, possibly damaging in some locations, may cause damage with these storms.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms, producing large hail, heavy rain, frequent lightning, damaging winds, and an occasional tornado.
