UNDATED - In the wake of the terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon, safety experts have some reminders for all of us, when we find ourselves in large crowds.

Tim Conahan is the Vice President of Signal 88 Security.  He says your group should have a place to meet, in the event that you get separated.

Conahan says you should also follow directions by parking in the designated areas, don't ignore barricades, and go with the flow of the crowd.

He says if you see someone put down a bag and walk away, notify security right away.

He says you should stay aware of your surroundings.  Know where the nearest exist is.

If you do find yourself in a situation like the explosions in Boston, leave the area immediately.  Leaving will reduce your risk of further injury, and allows first responders to properly assist the victims.

Signal 88 Security is a company that was founded by law enforcement professionals.
