This has been such a hoot!

Day Three of my adventures with the Mark Munson Memorial School of Rock in Brainerd had some milestones.

First, I found out that despite sweating nonstop for the past 3 weeks, I still have plenty of sweat to share.

More importantly, of course, is the progress made by the kids in the band that I'm co-instructing.

The picture above is the band's name. Bad Plaid! It started with the fact that both the songs chosen by the kids to perform start with the word "Bad." Plaid rhymes with bad, so BOOM a band name was born!

The tunes are Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" and George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone."

I finally snapped a picture of our rehearsal space, too.

We performed in front of several of the other bands yesterday. Our singers and guitarist/saxophonist are starting to groove, the intros and endings are getting tighter, and the fun is getting funner!

And yes: we're getting gooder!

One more "normal" day of camp next Tuesday, then a day of performance in front of their peers on Wednesday, then dress rehearsal and The Show next Thursday (7/26/18). These kids have me PUMPED!
