Thanking a veteran can be awkward because 'thank you' just doesn't seem like it's enough compared to the courage they've shown and the sacrifices they've made.  However, those two little words can make a huge difference.

Thanking veterans is so important because they do so much that is under appreciated.  Saying 'thank you' comes as a welcome surprise to them and you'll find it's a positive experience for you as well.
