SARTELL - Three Sartell police officers helped deliver a baby. Sergeant Kelly Mader, Officer Steve Matthews, and Officer John Lester were dispatched to the 600 block of Pinecone Road North at about 9:45 p.m. last Wednesday.

A 35-year-old woman was nine months pregnant and going into labor. The woman told the officers she didn't think she could make it to the hospital. The officers used an OB kit that are in all squad cars, and helped deliver the baby.

Gold Cross ambulance arrived shortly after and brought the mother and baby girl to the hospital.
