Sam Hunt Sports Ring on Left Hand in New Photo, Prompts Wedding Speculation

Has Sam Hunt already tied the knot with his longtime love, Hannah Lee Fowler? In a new picture posted to his Instagram on Saturday (March 11), the singer-songwriter sports what some fans think could be a wedding ring on his left hand.

The news came out that Hunt and Fowler were engaged on Jan. 2, one day after he dropped a surprise single titled "Drinkin' Too Much" that talked in depth about his on-again, off-again relationship with the mysterious Fowler, who was the inspiration for many of the songs on his smash debut album, Montevallo.

Hunt and Fowler got engaged during a spiritual pilgrimage to Israel, but even then it wasn't all hearts and flowers.

"I had the ring ready and we actually got into this little disagreement, just before I planned on asking her to marry me, the night before I planned to ask her," he shares (quote via Nash Country Daily). "I think because I felt like this disagreement spoiled my big plan to ask her to marry me, it irritated me a little more, which contributed to making the little fight worse and it escalated to the point where it actually worked out. We got real for a minute, after this little riff that we had. In that moment, it just felt perfect. Everything — after I asked her to marry me — just fizzled away and we celebrated and got excited together."

On Feb. 23, during a live set at CRS 2017, Hunt let it slip that his nuptials were not far off.

"I’m getting married in a couple months, so between planning a wedding and keeping my fiancee smiling, I’m gonna try to kick up some new music for y’all," Hunt said before going into his new single "Body Like a Backroad." He wrote and released the song just after news of the engagement broke.

His upcoming 15 In a 30 Tour takes it name from a line in the song. That kicks off June 1, featuring Maren Morris, Chris Janson and Ryan Follese as his support acts. A headlining slot at the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival is among the dates on Hunt's schedule.

Contacted by Taste of Country, a representative for Hunt had no official comment on the Instagram photo.
