Congratulations to Ruth Hess from St. Katherine Drexel School. She is a third grade teacher who was selected to be our March “Teacher of the Month!” She was nominated by Jean Skroch, a parent of one of Ms. Hess' students. Skroch had this to say about her;

Ms. Hess is the epitome of a great teacher who teaches from the heart. Ms. Hess has been a teacher for 35 years...Wow that is dedication! She goes above and beyond with each student, she makes sure that they are understanding what is being taught and if they are struggling she finds a way to make it make sense to them. She treats every student as an individual, knowing that each one is special in their own ways. She has taught the students to "Live above the Line" each day and our son reminds us to "Live above the Line" at home also. Ms. Hess also has an amazing sense of humor, our son tells us most days about something funny Ms. Hess has said or done. Ms. Hess is just a generous, kind and compassionate person. Our son hasn't been "super excited" about school till this year with Ms. Hess, there is just something calming and understanding about her. Being a teacher for 35 years deserves an award in itself but I know that Ms. Hess is our teacher of the year! She is a rock star in our eyes and we will be forever grateful for her."

Thanks again, Ms. Hess for being an outstanding teacher to all of your students at St. Katherine Drexel. Your hard work has definitely been noticed by everyone around you!

Ms. Hess received cheesecake and fudge from Christine’s Sweet Confections, a gift card from The Hideout Bar, a 98.1 FM hat and a beautiful trophy from All Star Trophy.
