The Royals beat the Twins 6-1 Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The Twins have now lost four games in a row to fall to 58-74 this season.

Oswaldo Arcia’s seventh inning double plated Kennys Vargas in the top of the seventh inning to give the Twins a 1-0 lead, but the Royals rallied for four runs in the eighth inning for the win.

Phil Hughes took the loss after being nearly unhittable in the first seven innings of the game, and ended with a line of 7.2 innings pitched while allowing four runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.

Minnesota wraps up their four game series with Kansas City tonight at 7:10. Tommy Milone takes the hill for the Twins against the Royals’ Jeremy Guthrie.
