GOOD NEIGHBORS

The Crosby cat situation has brought our community together in wonderful ways. The word has been spread far and wide of the situation, and people from outside our area are even jumping on the bandwagon to provide support for our Crosby Cats as they find their paths to recovery through foster care to their forever homes at Tri-County Humane Society.

THANK YOU ROCHESTER PET & COUNTRY STORE

A Rochester business stepped up to the plate recently to provide their support. The Rochester Pet & Country Store took monetary donations from their customers and organized a canned cat food drive to help TCHS provide the necessary care for the large number of cats that all came to the shelter at once. So thank you to not only The  Store, but to all their kind and caring patrons who stepped up to help.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE

TCHS would like to thank all of the people who reached into their wallets and made donations and to all of those people who found a way to provide support, whether it be through volunteering, providing necessary surgeries for the cats, the vaccinations, the food, the litter, and to those people providing the hugs, the kisses, the cleaning of the cages and more.

ADOPT A CROSBY CAT

If you are interested in adopting a Crosby Cat, you'll know which cats have been brought in from Crosby as they were all given a number upon intake. Now, they have a name plus their number; Merit Ortega, the Executive Director, said she hopes people will keep the cats numbers as part of their names. It's a piece of history here and a reminder to all that if you suspect someone is hoarding cats, or suspect animal abuse, you should make someone aware of the situation.

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
