Brad Paisley's highly anticipated new album hit stores yesterday and there is no doubt it's worth the wait. Wheelhouse is filled with nostalgia and one song has already created a bit of controversy in the blogosphere.  It touches on several hot button issues and includes several different musical influences.

The first song is Brad's number 1 hit Southern Comfort Zone.  There's no doubt this one makes you think of home and roots.  I don't know about anyone else but it also makes me want to watch reruns of Andy Griffith.

I love Outstanding in Our Field as it takes you back to some classic Roger Miller.  It's a fun song with Dierks Bentley and Hunter Hayes that will allow you to do plenty of clapping, foot stomping and dancing.

Karate really showcases what Brad's songwriting is made of.  It's touches on the subject of abuse and a woman who just isn't going to take it anymore.  She's going to get the belt that matches her eyes.  It features Charlie Daniels and is arguably one of the best tracks on the album.

The song that has everyone talking is his collaboration with rapper LL Cool J, Accidental Racist.  He was on Ellen and explained he felt that it was music's time to address the issue of racism.  He doesn't have the answer to issue with race in our society but he wanted people to start talking about it and they are talking about it.

Watch Brad's comments about Accidental Racist on "Ellen".

Overall, I think this is Brad's best album yet.  He has never been afraid to sing about controversial issues but this time he's doing it from a different perspective.  The different musical influences add a touch of flavor and his cheeky humor always makes for a good laugh.
