The Red Sox beat the Twins 1-0 in a pitchers' duel at Fenway Park in Boston Tuesday night. Minnesota is now 30-20 on the season and remains in first place in the American League Central thanks to a loss by Kansas City Tuesday.

Boston starter Clay Bucholtz allowed just three hits over eight innings to earn the win, and Koji Uehara pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save. Rusney Castillo knocked in Xander Bogaerts with a single in the seventh inning for the game's only run.

Mike Pelfrey was the tough-luck loser for the Twins, lasting seven innings and allowing just a single run on six hits and two walks. Eddie Rosario, Torii Hunter and Joe Mauer had the only hits in the game for Minnesota.

The Twins and Red Sox will play a doubleheader at Fenway Wednesday. Game one is scheduled to start at 12:35 PM, while game two is slated for a 6:05 start.
