Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock have separated after 26 years of marriage.

The country couple have actually been separated for several months, the Associated Press reports. It’s not clear if they’ve filed for divorce — a representative for the Big Machine Record Group declined to comment on that specifically when asked by the AP.

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other," the statement from the record label reads. "They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time."

It’s the second marriage for both McEntire and Blackstock. Together they have one child, 25-year-old Shelby Blackstock. Narvel Blackstock has three kids from a previous marriage.

The couple married on a boat in Lake Tahoe in 1989, but had known each other since 1980. Blackstock was a part of McEntire's band before they started dating. McEntire said she was attracted to his professionalism, among other things.

“He was a very classy man and very organized and had great ideas,” she explains. “He’s always looking ahead and always thinking. He’s a great leader.”

The couple becomes the second celebrity country couple to split in two weeks. On July 20, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert officially divorced. Blackstock was more than just McEntire’s husband — he runs a management company that represents her, as well as Shelton and Kelly Clarkson.

Love Somebody, McEntire’s first studio album in five years, was released in April. The first single, “Going Out Like That,” peaked inside the Top 30. On Monday morning the country legend teased her next single on social media.
