Yesterday I was the recipient of a random act of kindness, and it was so cool! So today I am urging you to do something nice for someone else, just because.

You don't have to spend money, or even a lot of time to do something nice for someone, so why not give it a try. You never know how much one small gesture can make a difference in someones life.

I stopped at Target on my way home from work yesterday to pick up a few things, one of which was Red Bull - I live off that stuff! When I approached the display I noticed the Red Bull rep was standing there and had just finished stocking the shelves. I had to reach in front of him to grab what I wanted and I apologized for messing up his hard work. He said it was "just fine" and with a smile I continued on with my shopping.

As I loaded my purchases into the back seat of my car I heard someone behind me say "excuse me", and I looked up to see Mr. Red Bull standing behind me. He handed me another pack of my favorite beverage and said "thanks for the business". I was kind of at a loss for words so I just said "thank you", he replied "no problem, have a great day" and walked away. After a long stressful day, that small gesture was just enough to make me smile.

One good deed can easily lead to a chain reaction, and that is exactly what I am trying to start. I will be paying it forward and I hope that you start your own chain of random acts of kindness today.
