Puck Drops On Minnesota Boys State Hockey Tourney Today
The 2015 Minnesota Boys State High School Hockey Tournament kicks off today at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The eight-team Class A tourney kicks off this morning at 11 AM with Mahtomedi facing New Ulm. St. Cloud Apollo takes on Breck in the final opening round Class A game of the day tonight at 8 PM.
Last year's Class A champion, East Grand Forks, plays New Prague in the day's second game at 1 PM. Last year's runner up (and #1 seed this year) Hermantown goes up against Spring Lake Park this evening at 6 PM.
Class A Semifinal games are set for Friday, with the championship game scheduled for Noon on Saturday.
The Class AA tournament featuring Lakeville North, Edina, St. Thomas Academy, Blaine, Eden Prairie, Hill-Murray, Duluth East, and Bemidji starts Thursday.
